CLEVER CHINO

The Northern Ireland Cavalier Club held it's Championship show on 2nd May at Ballyclare with Mary Rees officiating. Although the trip is becoming quite expensive for exhibitors travelling by car and ferry from England, Scotland and Wales it is such an enjoyable show that many still 'push the boat out' and make the trip. For Rob Sansom and Sheena Maclaine it was well worth the effort as they came home with 2 new Champions. CH BYERMOOR MASQUERADE JW owned and bred by Rob and CH LOCHBUIE CAPPUCINO owned and bred by Sheena's mum, Diana. Here are some pictures from the happy day.

Jan Eatock (Darilance Cavaliers) lives in the North Island of New Zealandand send details of some Cavalier get togethers.

"After a couple of enjoyable Cavalier garden parties with friends at 'Darilance', Andrew, I and friends came up with the idea of starting a Facebook group for Cavalier owners in New Zealand with an aim for building friendships, sharing news and meeting for play dates.

We now have over 100 members made up of pet owners, breeders, exhibitors, and have so far had 3 events which involved 2 play dates at 'Darilance', and one Lakeside Walk. Our aim is for building caring and responsible Cavalier ownership and for sharing news, daily antics of our Cavaliers, as well as show results and photos. Also regular health topics are loaded in the files section for ongoing reference. The Facebook group is called 'Cavalier Chat NZ' and is for any Cavalier owners in New Zealand to join. VERHEYEN DUSTIN has gained his Junior Warrantat 14 months old. Owned and bred by Mary Cunningham, he is sired by Ch Stonepit Franco I Believe out of Ch Verheyen Laura. Dustin did it!

SCOTLAND THE BRAVE

Their are 2 Scottish Kennel Club All Breed Shows held per year. The first one in 2015 was held near Edinburgh on 16th May and the Cavalier judge was Brenda Turnbull (Peakdowns). The second show will take place in August. The Royal Highland Showground is an ideal venue and here is a flavour of the show with some pictures.
