Kirstie McMurray and Best Veteran
The oldest veteran £20 prize award went to Lana P Turner's Shalot Lady Bethan. A lovely black/tan bitch, born 14 December 2003, by Leelyn Major League out of Shalot Morgan Le Fay who also did really well in the Veteran classes. The award was donated by Cavalier Chat Forum member, Flo Sinclair in memory of her ByFloSin Jemimah's Swan Song.
A piece of happy coincidence. In 2006 at the same show with Margaret Newton (Tonnew)and the
late Jean Grant (Granasil) judging, Bitch CC and Best in Show went to
the blenheim Ch Leogem Minuet and Dog CC went to the Novice class winner Craigowl
Ryton (who went on to win his crown). 'Minuet' is the grandmother of
today's Novice class and Bitch CC winner Leogem Rhapsody and 'Ryton' is
the grandfather of today's winner of the Dog CC and Best in Show,
Craigowl Out Of The Blue.
Res CC went to Nunn's Petsendas Cappers Girl, a three and a half year old blenheim by Petsendas Capricorn x Hazelbury Jessica.
North Down Borough Council in Northern Ireland is proposing to introduce new dog control orders with the powers it has received under the Clean Neighbourhoods & Environment Act (Northern Ireland) 2011. There is no doubt that other councils will follow this course of action unless challenged.

TURNING BACK THE CLOCK IN TASMANIA
A show to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the first Australian Dog Show was held in Hobart Town in Tasmania in 1862.This came not long after the first recognised show in 1859, held at Newcastle on Tyne in the UK, it proved to be the start of a countrywide phenomena and the start of regulated breeding and canine animal husbandry in Australia. Dog lovers in Australia have recently converged on Hobart to celebrate 150 years of dog showing and the recent show featured 500 dogs and 105 different breeds.

"They have both now gained their Level 2 Titles in TD Rally, and their Bronze Championships and Silver Achievers awards in PDRO rally. They also walked off with good places in all 3 classes entered at the end of year rally trial last weekend. Next year we’re hoping for Silver Championships, Level 2 Championships, and for Ellie perhaps her Veteran Level 1 Championship! Frances Page’s 'Pippin' also achieved his Level 1 Championship."

MOUSTACHE FOR CASH
Philip Lovel has the Lovetrac Cavaliers in Beverley in North Yorkshire and would love your support.
"It's Movember and I have been persuaded to grow a moustache. Please help make it
a worthwhile humiliation!
Men’s health is a good cause but in order to
make a difference I need your help. My commitment is to grow a moustache for the
month of November and in doing so, raise vital awareness and funds for mens
health including prostate and testicular cancer.
I am asking you to help
support me by making a donation. Every contribution helps Movember to continue
its funding of world class programmes. If you want to know more about what
you’ll be helping to fund, you can visit Movember's Program
Overview page.
To highlight the importance of what I am doing, take a
look at these statistics:
• 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer
in their lifetime
• This year 40,000 new cases of the disease will be
diagnosed in the UK
• 47% of testicular cancer cases occur in men under 35
years and over 90% occur in men under 55 years
If you’d like to help
change these statistics, please donate to me by:
