Di Fry was not only a top breeder of CKCS, Charlie's, and Chins, which she bred many champions in these three breeds, she was a very helpful lady who gave her time to help others new to the breeds. All the years of knowing her I can honestly say I never saw her without her makeup on, her hair done and always dressed immaculately. You will be sadly missed in the world of dogs and dog showing. RIP beautiful lady....Di Pauline Roberts

So sorry to hear the sad news this afternoon. The Dog World has lost yet another talented breeder, much too early. Di has left a legacy in all three breeds she was involved with and will be remembered for years to come, not only because of this but more importantly through her wonderful family who I am sure will continue as she would have wished. Proud to have known her, pleased I was able to speak with her from the ring at Crufts where she looked elegant as ever, studying her beloved King Charles from the ringside. To Tracy and all the family our thoughts are with you, Pauline & Ian xx

As I opened my chatterbox this week to keep up with current events from
around the world, I was in total shock when I read about the passing of Di
Fry from Amantra Kennels. Even though I no longer breed cavaliers they will always be part of our family and I will never forget the wonderful years I had breeding and showing cavaliers and learning from the best cavalier breeders in the UK. My first trip to the UK was met with wonderful hospitality from Di Fry and daughter, Tracy of Amantra Kennels where they welcomed me into their home for 5 days and nights of my trip . What a wonderful time I had with such a beautiful family and the first of many more trips to England. My condolences go out to Tracy and her family at this sad time. RIP beautiful lady........ Cheryl Lorditch
How sad to hear of her passing. I was thinking a few months ago that at least the breed still has Diane Fry, who was renowned for her Cavaliers back in the 1980s (and to the present day). She looked so lovely in recent photos, this is unbelievable. Sally Minetree
So sorry to hear this, sad news. I always admired Di Fry and her beautiful Amantras. It is a befitting blessing that she passed to the other side peacefully in her sleep. May God be with her family and friends and help them through this time of sorrow.Susan Van Luchene

Just looking through the 1987 UK Cavalier yearbook. My eye stopped on a beautiful Amantra dog named Nice One Cyril. I know there are many others. What a fantastic breeder and judge. Her lines permeate the pedigrees of many good dogs today. A big loss for the Cavalier community! Dorothy Fry

I am so sad to hear this news about Diane ... she stayed, along with her husband, with Ian and I in 1991 and we still had the lovely Amantra Kings Rhapsody who was 13 at the time, whom she was delighted to see again. Then I watched her judge at Blenheim with Jeanie ... she looked as young and beautiful as ever ... Molly, Sheelagh & now Diane .. how life has changed in such a short period of time. Diane was one of those clever and dedicated breeders from the 70's & 80's whose contribution to Cavaliers, King Charles & Japanese Chins is incalculable. My very sincere condolences to her husband, Tracy & family and her friends.
