SWEET CARAMELLE

Proud owner Cecilia Bernhede from Malmo in Sweden sends this picture of "Sara" - Noble Line Caramelle who is 15 years old. Her father was Deeriem Moon River (Mareve,Aldachell,Craigowl-breeding) and mother Noble Line Chocolate Cream (Sperringårdens, Rodero's, Kindrum-breeding).

The Cavalier community lost several loved ones in recent weeks. Our condolences to their loved ones who are bearing the loss.

David Williams (Hutsbank) passed away only a few months after his wife Joyce who died in September 2012 Photo taken at WELKS in 1984 

We also lost Notherner Marjorie Dean who exhibited and bred under the Wildgrove affix.

Averill Russell (Kernewek) lived in the West Country and was a staunch supporter of the West of England Cavalier Club of which she was President. She died on 14th January 2013 aged 92.

Sarah, daughter of the late Peter (Bembridge) Watkins & his wife Pearl, passed away recently. She was only in her 40's and had been bravely fighting her illness for 3 years. I am sure a note or card from the people who know the family would help Pearl at a difficult time.

....and just this week we heard that we had also lost Betty Dowd. Another successful breeder/exhibitor from the South West whose most famous Cavalier was her beautiful home bred tricolour bitch Ch Tregarron Caprice. Seen here judging at Border Union in 1982

Betty’s Funeral will be on Monday 25^th February at 11:30 am at Efford Crematorium, Efford Road, Plymouth, Devon PL3 6NG. Debbie Coole is delighted that JOLAINEY MADE TO MEASURE has done so well since arriving in Australia from the UK.

"Morgan" (Eng Ch Maibee Make Believe x Eng Ch Jolainey Taylor Made) gained his Australian title in just two weekends of showing. Congratulations to Kym Brooksby and to Steve and Debbie Coole in for making up their first Australian Champion.

TELVARA IN TESCO

If you see two handsome Cavaliers looking at you from the shelves of tins of dog food in the supermarket and wonder who they are...wonder no more. They are Veronica Hull's boys, Darcy the tricolour and Guiness the black/tan. Incidentally, Guiness turned 12 years of age in December so his acting career came late in life!

The Eastern Counties Cavalier Society are the organisers of the 2013 Joint Cavalier Clubs Championship Show on Sunday July 7th, the day after the East of England Championship Show. Delightful photo of "Eli" aka SevenWoods Element of Surprise CGC, C-RN, RN, CD (CH Homerbrent Esquire at SevenWoods X CH Homerbrent Zoey Promontory). These school visits to work with childrens' reading groups are helping him get certified as a Therapy Dog through the AKC. He is already considered an Animal Assisted Therapy Dog with Pet Partners. Seen here also is his owner Paul Gigous. Mom Margaret is a teacher in the local school system and these children are in one her reading groups. His breeder Sue Shidler is very proud of what "Eli" is achieving.
