Once again The CavalierChat Forum members are kindly donating a £20 cash prize at every Cavalier Club Championship show held in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland during 2015, for the oldest Veteran Cavalier exhibited on the day. This gesture has been made for several years now and has seen many deserving recipients. So if you have a fit Cavalier in their twilight years, it would help squash the distorted rumours that our breed has problems getting to old age. Here is a list of the shows (and donors) where the £20 specials will be made available. Remember, it is the oldest Cavalier shown on the day. Winning is not a requirement.

EVERYTHING IN THE GARDEN IS ROSY
A Sutton Coldfield couple, Phil and Diana Berry open up their garden to the public for charity every year and have been featured on national television. The garden has been created in their Little Aston home over the last 12 years and was shown on BBC Two's 'Great British Garden Revival'. Diana said: "It was great that the BBC decided to feature our garden here in Little Aston, and "Norah", our little Cavalier, made sure she got in on the show! We love our garden and, in particular, our collection of rhododendrons, some of which are quite rare. It is also a real pleasure to share it all with visitors to our garden." The aim of the TV series is to encourage people to take up gardening and 'rediscover their passion for plants'.

WHEN PUSH COMES TO SHOVE
Maris Kennedy was in a more urgent rush than most, one Tuesday morning amid traffic delays that brought her neighbouring roads to a standstill. With an ill dog requiring urgent veterinary attention she had two options: face a backlog of stationary traffic or place seven-year-old Chloe, in her grandchild's pram and hike. She felt forced to choose the latter. It took her and husband, Doug, just under an hour to push the sick dog through Canberra Nature Reserve to the vet where they were relieved that Chloe's condition was diagnosed as a virus.
with the 2015 Cavalier Club show coming up and Brian Rix (Ricksbury) and Sylvia Lymer (Lymrey) judging...thought this fitting as a nice "reflection".
