Chatterboxhas been missing for a couple of weeks as I have been away in Sweden judging and decided to spend a few days afterwards visiting friends in the Gothenburg area. Normal service has now been resumed....this edition is concentrating purely on the show scene around the UK in the last few weeks. The next edition will return to having our usual flavour with news from both home and abroad, photos, scraps from the past and anything that I feel you would like to read about. AROUND THE UKDOG SHOWS....PART 1
Cavalier day at East of England All Breeds Championship show at Peterborough was held this year on Saturday 6th July, the day before the Combined Cavalier show hosted this year by Eastern Counties CKCS Society. So several Cavalier exhibitors took the opportunity to make a weekend of it and took in both shows. Brian Rix (Ricksbury) and Ray Waddington (Spindlepoint) did the honours at Peterborough. This was Ray's first appointment at CC level and he certainly looked as if he was enjoying himself. The weather couldn't have been better, especially for the site caravanners. With judging completed and plenty to celebrate cold drinks and icecream were the order of the day. Nice to see many overseas familiar faces making it quite international....Annukka and Louri from Finland, Jeanie still here from Sydney, Margaret Chalmers and Lyndey Morris also from Australia, Libor and Oldrich from Czech Republic and Klaus and Marlen from Germany.
