Year by year,Top Barn Farm in Worcestershire justs gets more popular with UK Cavalier lovers, breeders and exhibitors, plus their dogs, who
make it their annual camping holiday. It has become a pilgrimage in
April and August for so many, for a couple of weeks' fun, relaxation
and meeting up with fellow Cavalierites. Top Barn Farm is an Activity
Centre Set in beautiful Worcestershire countryside, adjacent to the River Severn and only
6 miles from the lovely city of Worcester with its renowned
Cathedral, river walks and cruises and farmers' market. It is ideal
for caravan, motorhome, and tent enthusiasts
with on site toilet and shower facilities, electric hook ups and a
marquee for hire to cater for the programme of events put on by Camp
Commandants, Pam Craig, Sandra and David Moger and anyone else who is prepared to lend a hand.
The
Cavalier revellers who make their way there, have a whale
of a time, despite
what Mother Nature throws at them. This year many went straight after
the Northern CKCS Club show on 4th August and set up camp. From there
they were able to take in three shows, namley Paignton, Bournemouth and Welsh Kennel Club...all within the 2 weeks and all a reasonable driving distance of the camp. Apart
from going off to the dog shows there is always something else to
do...and if you choose you could join in the organised
attractions....during the day, young and old played Boules,
Kubb, tackled the Agility course, entered the Fun Match judged by Mia
Kendall. Bingo, Beetle Drive, Mexican Train, Abba Sing-a-long, Movie
night, Karaoke, were some of the laid on entertainment in the evening and the sharing of food
and liquid refreshments were a common sight. Shopping, eating out and
sightseeing were also popular as Worcestershire has so much to offer. Some memories of a glorious fortnight.
