Richard Cornaby (Haydonleigh) Vice Chairman of the Midland Cavalier Club writes with the sad news that Mary Kiser (Harrowbeer) has passed away at the age of 93. "Mary was a doughty West Country exhibitor and served on the West of England Cavalier Club committee for many years, and was made an Honorary Life Member when she decided to retire. Her place in Cavalier History is assured through her bitch Harrowbeer Unity who became Molly Coaker’s foundation bitch and is behind several of the early Homerbrent champions. Mary spent the last few years of her life in the care of Roy & Margaret Wilkinson but eventually had to go into a nursing home". I always recall the warm smile Mary seemed to have and her broad West Country accent. RIP kind lady.

UK TOY DOG SOCIETY

Tom Mather and his team of hard working committee put on a great one day Championship show scheduling the Toy Breeds at the UK TOY DOG SOCIETY Championship show at Stafford at the end of March. It almost feels like a Mini Club show for Cavaliers as our rings are exclusively housed in a hall next to the main part of the hall but still only within a minutes walk through to see the other breeds and the Best in Show ring. This year Lucy Koster (Harana) judged dogs and Marilyn Claydon (Brymarden) judged bitches. Two well respected breeders and judges. Here are some pics from the show. FEONIX TURNS FOURTEEN

Happy Birthday to Frondil Feonix who reached the grand old age of 14 years recently. Sadly his owners/breeders aren't here to celebrate the occasion as Dilys and Ron Jackson passed away some time ago. Luckily when Dilys became too ill to look after him he went to the loving home of Leila Tarabad. He is seen here, after his bath, enjoying a cuddle with her son, Noah. 'Feonix', despite his age is not on medication and the girls around still interest him.

The Danish Cavalier Clubhosted a double show on March 21^st in Hårlev. The judges from the UK were Sue Terry and Marian Mynott.Dog CC, Best dog , BOB under Sue Terry was Checker vom Erlenbacher-Hemmerich owned by Lotte Frandsen. Best Bitch and BOS was CH Murnley’s Anglian Skye owned by Nicola Morrison. Bitch CC at the tender age of 10 month was Cepos Bababelle owned by Susanne Autzen.

Under Marian Mynott, the Dog CC, Best dog, BOB was Cepos Bumble Bee owned by Susanne Autzen & Tine Sofie Kelkjær. Best Bitch and BOS was CH Cava Choice Hot Constellation owned by Jens Gregersen.Bitch CC– and made up to Danish Championwas Cassiopeia Believe In Me, owned by Betina & Ulla Hansen.
